Odisha road infrastructure projects have received a major push as the Chief Minister’s Office approved 10 key road works worth around ₹770 crore under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund CRIF.
The approved projects include two flyovers in Brahmapur and major road strengthening works in Koraput, Balasore, Jharsuguda, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, and Nuapada districts. These projects are expected to improve road safety, reduce travel time, and support faster movement of people and goods.
Odisha Road Infrastructure Projects to Improve Connectivity
The new projects are part of a bigger plan to strengthen transport links in different parts of the state. Better roads and flyovers will help local residents, daily commuters, traders, and transport services. Areas that often face road damage or travel delays are likely to benefit the most from this development.
The projects also match Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Purvodaya vision, which focuses on the growth of eastern India through strong infrastructure and better economic opportunities. With this fresh investment, Odisha is aiming to build modern road networks that can support long-term development.
Officials said the works are expected to be completed within the next 24 months. Once finished, these projects may give a fresh boost to Odisha’s economy by improving regional connectivity and supporting business activity across several districts.
